This defibrillator training course is suitable for single bookings at one of our venues. For group bookings the course will be completed in 3 hours. For single bookings, you will need to attend our 6 Hour Emergency First Aid at Work Course which includes AED & CPR training.

Course content

• Understanding the First Aider Role: Grasp the crucial responsibilities and boundaries of a first aider, with an emphasis on privacy, consent, and adherence to the scope of training.
• Incident Assessment Mastery: Learn to proficiently evaluate emergency situations, ensuring safety and deciphering the occurrence to strategise an optimal action plan.
• Hands-on AED & CPR Training: Equip yourself with practical skills to administer CPR and operate an AED for both adults and children efficiently.
• Managing Unconsciousness: Acquire skills to manage an unconscious individual, inclusive of applying the recovery position and handling seizures.
• Choking Management: Learn to identify and adeptly assist a choking individual, regardless of age.
• Wound & Bleeding Control: Understand the variances in wounds and administer effective management techniques, including optimal use of bandages and first aid essentials to manage bleeding.
• Shock Management: Recognise and proficiently handle shock symptoms.
• Minor Injury Treatments: Navigate through managing minor injuries such as small cuts, bruises, and mild burns or scalds.
