  • Vital Signs: Monitoring breathing, consciousness, temperature, and skin color.
  • Incident Management: Systematic approach to first aid incidents using the ABCDE method.
  • Airway Management: Managing unconscious casualties and ensuring safe airway positions.
  • Breathing and Circulation Issues: Handling choking, internal and external bleeding, and shock.
  • Injury Treatment: Managing injuries to the head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and limbs, including using remote improvised techniques.

Cost

The cost is £995 per group of up to 12 learners. This fee includes all instructional materials, necessary training equipment, a First Aid Manual, and certification.

Course Type

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals in unsupported outdoor roles, such as Outdoor Activity Leaders, Bushcraft Instructors, Canoe Instructors, or Duke of Edinburgh assessors. This course is ideal for those running activities where medical assistance may be several hours away, ensuring they are prepared to handle emergencies in remote settings.

Certification

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) certificate, which is valid for three years. The course consists of 16 contact hours of hands-on training, with no written exams. Instead, participants are assessed based on their practical competency through active engagement in all taught procedures.
